"Get your over-sized mitts off of me!” Cira snarled the words out...thrashing against the huge fingers that had imprisoned her. It would have probably been more effective and looked a bit less pitiful if the gigantic hand had been holding her tightly...but instead it was only loosely cupped around her...and she was just left to flop around in an open palm...trapped, with nowhere to run or jump...since she was a good ninety feet up in the air at the moment.

“Tch. Who in tha Hells says 'mitts'?” The giant that had captured her gave a chuckling snort, silver eyes flat and lacking in patience as he tried to get the woman to sit still so he wouldn't drop her.

“I DO! When I'm fucking pissed! Now put me down, asshole!” Cira howled again, more than tempted to try a wild leap to the building sized desk nearby. Surely she could make it from here. She didn't like this whole, being handled like a friggin gerbil, thing. It was weird. And uncomfortable. Made ten times worse by the fact that the person handling her was her brother.
Half-brother anyway.
From the enormous, city stomping, man-eating giant side of the family.
It was all very awkward.

“Well it's good to see you again too, sis. And...Not a chance.” Alistair, growled flatly, ears pinned back against the sides of his head. “I'm not fuckin' trusting you loose around here. Ye'd end up arrested, eaten or stuck t'tha bottom o'someone's boot within tha hour. As it is...yer lucky I got to you before Callahan did.”

“Pfft-Barbie? Please...I woulda kicked his teeth in an ripped his tonsils out. Towheaded asshat can try all he likes. I'm not goin' down that easy.” Cira calmed her squirming, understanding that her brother wasn't about to let her loose anytime soon. So instead she settled herself in his palm...arms crossed while she glared around the room that was Alistair's office.

The Captain sighed, free hand coming up to rub over his eyes with a weary groan. “Oh I know ye would have. Which is why I say I'm damn glad I got to ye before I lost a good man outta this whole mess.” he curled his upper lip, baring the chipped fangs on the left side of his mouth. “Now I just have t'figure out what tha hells t'do with you.” His silver eyes fixed on her once more...

Cira did her best not to look up at him, especially avoiding eye contact.

She was still getting used to the fact that her brother was <i≥really</i≥ a giant.
Sure, she'd known he wasn't human...having spent several months with him back home when he'd been trapped in the human realm. But that had been on the same scale, his size bound to that of a human. He'd only been several inches taller than her then.
Not several dozens of feet.
But now things had been flipped and she was the one stuck in an unfamiliar world, forced to be among creatures and people far different from her own in a place she didn't understand.
That really changed things. Seeing her brother in his true form and size was different. It made Alistair's wildness seem more...well...wild. His inhuman features were sharper...more obvious. Painfully obvious. Especially considering his profession here.
It made her feel extremely torn. Her Faron half felt intrigued, pleased...eager to learn more of the beings here. She loved the constant tingle of magic in the air. It made her feel so much stronger than back home. But her human half was dominant...and the unease of being around so many beings that saw her as little more than a morsel or a pest to be exterminated was terrible and left her both angry and on edge.
Privately, she was almost glad to be here now with Alistair. It might have been awkward, sitting in his hand like some well trained mouse...but at least it was safe.

No harm could come to her here.

“Oi, you okay?”

The words shook her from her thoughts and she realized he'd been speaking...but she'd not heard a word of it. She looked up at him briefly, then dropped her eyes again, rubbing a hand through her short hair sheepishly. “Uh...s-sorry. Missed that. Wh-what were you saying?”

Alistair's brows lowered, furrowing into a line on his forehead as he frowned down at her.
It wasn't an angry frown though. If anything it was a look of worry. A very unusual expression for the gruff captain to wear. He wasn't normally one to be bothered so easily.

He raised his hand, Cira finding herself left with no option but to look at him as his face literally filled her vision at that point. She scowled, feeling her face warm at the reminder of the fact that she was literally Thumbelina to the big guy...but she didn't back away this time.

Apparently he must have sensed her unease...knowing her well enough to understand that her tense mood had stemmed from more than just her usual attitude. She got extra growly when she was uneasy.

“Yer okay, Cira. I promise.” he spoke in an uncharacteristically soft tone.

“Well I didn't doubt that.” She grunted, resting her elbows on her drawn up knees.

“Mmhm. Trollshit. Ye know ye can't lie to me...”

“I know. Doesn't mean I can't fucking try, right?” She gave a sardonic laugh...but did relax some. “I know. I just...don't much like this.” She waved a hand, not gesturing to anything in particular as much as just the situation in general.

This at least got Alistair to back off some, even nodding in understanding agreement to her words. He passed a hand over his face, idly rubbing at the scars along his jaw.
“Trust me, I dun like it anymore than you do, lass...I don't like ye bein' here. Na cuz yer na welcome...but...well...ye -shouldn'- be here.”
It was just far too dangerous for her here...
The treaty of peace had only just been signed. Ties with humans were far from good yet. And wouldn't be for a very very long time. It was still a very deadly world for humans here...

Cira had no words to speak...only a nod of her head.
What he said was true. But it wasn't like she'd TRIED to fall through the wormhole to end up here. It had been an accident. All of it. It seemed they were both cursed with ill-luck when it came to inter-dimensional portals.

The Faron shifted a bit, clearly uncomfortable when the silence lingered on into an even more awkward pause.

After a solid minute and a half of them avoiding eye contact and conversation, he broke the quiet.

“Feckin' Hells. I suck at this whole bein' a big brother thing.” He grumbled, sighing and sitting back against the edge of his desk.

“Heh~ I'd say you've at least got the big brother grump down just fine.” Cira latched onto the lighter topic change...eager to get away from the dark topic and the thought of being trapped here for the time being.

“That's my -normal- demeanor.” Alistair grunted.

“Yeah. I know. BIG surprise there. Still...just makes it all the more fitting.” She shrugged. “Can't argue with that.”

He gave another gruff grunt, rolling his eyes. “And ye were feckin' born t'be a little sister. Loud, annoyin', a massive disposition fer landin' yerself in tha worst possible trouble and a major, overall pain in tha arse.”

“Damn. Love you too, bro.”

Alistair grinned, eyes lightening up a bit as he too seemed to relax from his initial mode of tenseness.
“Dun go getting' mushy now. Might actually get me t'feel some sort o'emotion.” He put his free hand over his heart, winking. “Fer now, tha only thing I feel is hungry.” He lowered his hand down at last to the desktop beside him...giving a gentle tilt of his palm to slide Cira off so she could hop to the desktop herself. “I'm gonna go put in an order fer some supper at tha cafeteria. Ye lay low an stay in here, aye?”
Cira nodded, moving away and trying not to freak out, out of instinct when Alistair moved to stand up straight. Seeing something so huge move so quickly was a bit rough to keep up with. It would take some getting used to. “Sure. Got nowhere else to be.”

“Good.” He paused halfway out the door, looking back to her sternly. “Stay -ON- tha desk. And dun make any loud noises or get yerself inta trouble.”

“Yeah yeah.” She raised a hand in a mock, half-assed salute. “Just go get food, damn it. I'm hungry too.”
They exchanged another glare...and then the door shut.

With Alistair gone...she was left once more to her own thoughts...and the situation she was stuck in. Sitting on a desk with a stapler and coffee mug bigger than she was. was an unpleasant reminder of how vastly different Alistair's world was from her own.

She hoped her time here was less than the time he'd endured in her world...but at the same time, she almost glad to be here...if only for the fact that she was able to see the only family she had and spend more time with him. Which was disgustingly sappy.

Things would work out. She'd find a way home, one way or another...but for now she was here...and she had faith that Alistair would look after things. He was a cranky son of a bitch...but he was good at that stuff. She'd be just fine.

Prompt: Get your over-sized mitts off of me!
Characters: Cira, Alistair
Verse/Setting: Half-blood!verse

SIBLING FLUFF!!~ X3 One of my great weaknesses. Especially when it comes to G/t.
Everyone meet Cira and Alistair~ These are Killian's younger siblings. X3 Though due to Killian having been separated from his family at a young age he's unaware of that in most plots.
These two are actually from an absolutely fantastic piece of writing that the ever talented :iconmistress0minx: is working on. I'm publicly posting about it because I'm a huge fan...and I really REALLY want more of it...*shamelessly pokes Minx* owo mooooooooaaar~
Anyway...these two are a gruff pair and have only just recently become aware that eachother even exists! But already the sibling bond is settling in...in both good and bad ways. XD So much snark.

I wish I had a better image to share of Alistair. It's on my long list of things to do TuT New Faron OCs
And here is Minx's lass Cira Character Trading Card-Cira

Hope you enjoy it! There's sibling fluff with Killian to come tomorrow~ >w<
